Evaluation Process

1

The Challenge

Phase 1

Phase 1 is the first phase of the evaluation process. You must achieve a virtual profit target while following the rules. In Phase 1, you will execute simulated trades within a demo environment that looks to simulate the real market via latency and static slippage associated with the size of your order.

Once you successfully complete all of the simulated trading objectives and prove your skills, you will receive your phase 2 account within 24 hours and continue your path to getting funded.

Verification

Phase 2

Phase 2 is the validation phase where you will again prove your skills. You must achieve a virtual profit target while following the rules. In Phase 2, you will again execute simulated trades within a demo environment that looks to simulate the real market via latency and static slippage associated with the size of your order.

Once you successfully complete all of the simulated trading objectives and prove your skills, your results will be verified and you will move forward to becoming a Funded trader.

The Funded Trader

You have officially made it!

You must continue to display sound risk management as well as consistency and you will receive up to a 90% virtual profit split.

Your simulated performance will be evaluated every 3 months and if eligible you can scale up to $1,500,000 in virtual account balance. Please note that when trading on a Funded account, the real market is simulated as closely as possible by using real order book quotes aggregated from various liquidity providers. During times of high volatility, this will result in increased slippage. Due to the nature of simulating the real market as closely as possible, strategies that are successful in the Challenge and Verification phases may not necessarily be profitable in the Funded phase.

The Funded Trader is an online demo simulated trading evaluation firm. We give clients the ability to complete our assessment and prove their simulated trading skills in an environment that poses no risks to them for just the price of the upfront fee paid for the evaluation. After passing the evaluation, eligible traders are allowed to receive a simulated virtual profit split on the virtual profits generated in their Funded Account subject to compliance with our Terms of Use and the Customer Agreement. How do I get started with The Funded Trader?

Starting out with The Funded Trader is as simple as possible. Begin by navigating to the “Challenge” section of our website and then select the program and account size you would like to participate in. You’ll want to visit our Knowledge Center to learn the specific rules and objectives of each of our offerings before purchasing. Once you are ready, click on the “Buy” button at the bottom of your desired program’s banner to head to checkout to enter your billing and payment details. If you purchase using crypto, please understand that we only accept ERC20 network addresses and cannot provide technical support to members who use a different network for purchases through crypto. Within a few minutes after your purchase, you will receive your account credentials in a welcome email and will be able to access the Trade Hub where you can find your profile information, dashboard and more.

What documents do I need in order to trade with The Funded Trader?

Before issuing any Funded Accounts or any type of payout to the client related to successfully completing one of our programs, we require that you verify your ID and pass our KYC/AML screening. For most people, this will never be an issue, and the check will take no more than 5 minutes. Are there any countries we cannot trade from?

Due to OFAC sanctions, we are unable to offer services with traders residing in the following countries: Cuba, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, North Korea, Libya, Sudan, Somalia.

How fast will I receive a Funded Trader challenge after I sign up?

Upon receiving your confirmation of successful payment, you will receive your simulated Trading Platform and Dashboard credentials within 5 minutes. For Coinbase Commerce payments, your order will not be confirmed until the payment is verified by the blockchain, which can take some time and depends on network congestion. Once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, you will receive your simulated Trading Platform and Dashboard credentials within 5 minutes. Is there an age requirement to get funded?

Yes, the minimum age to participate in all of our programs is 18 years of age or older.

How many accounts can I trade at any given time?

While we do not have limits on the number of accounts a trader can have, we do limit the total account value of all accounts held by a person to $600k. For clarification, during the challenge (Phase-1 and Phase-2), you are not permitted to trade more than $600k. If you trade more than $600k at any given time, then you will be refunded for all of your accounts and you will have to start over. For example, you can have two $200k accounts and two $100k accounts, which add up to $600k in total account value. However, you cannot then add any more accounts beyond these as the total account value would exceed our $600k total account value limit.

The Standard Challenge consists of a two-phased evaluation process where a trader has unlimited days to pass the first and the second phase. Additionally, you can add EAs and trade copiers as an option. In each phase, there are certain rules and objectives the trader must achieve and abide by in order to pass the challenge and earn a Funded Account. What is the Royal Challenge?

The Royal Challenge is our newest exciting program. Similar to the two step evaluation process like our Standard and Rapid Challenge, the main advantage with this program is that you have unlimited simulated trading days, a lower virtual profit target of 8%, and can use EAs. What is the Rapid Challenge?

The Rapid Challenge is our two-step evaluation program in which you can get your first payout in as little as 20 days! Traders are able to sign up for this challenge using a $50k, $100k, or $200k account. Simply choose the amount of capital you would like to manage and pass the evaluation by meeting the simulated Trading Objectives during Phase-1 and Phase-2 of the evaluation. With the Rapid Challenge, there are no minimum simulated trading days on your evaluation. Your first virtual profit split is eligible after 14-days once you earn your funded account. What are The Funded Trader Competitions?

The Funded Trader competitions are a free opportunity for everyone to participate in a monthly challenge and be one of 30 winners who earn prizes. Am I simulated trading real money?

After a client becomes a Funded Trader, he/she will be provided with a demo account with virtual funds. For the avoidance of any confusion, please keep in mind that a Funded Account is a fully simulated account with real market quotes from liquidity providers. The simulated trading data is sent off to a partnered proprietary simulated trading firm where trades are copied at their own discretion using aggregated orders using proprietary risk management techniques. What simulated trading instruments are available?

We allow simulated trading of the instruments available on your simulated trading platform. This typically includes forex, commodities, indices, and crypto. We also document these instruments on The Funded Trader Available Instruments sheet.

How many accounts can i trade?

Members of The Funded Trader are able to hold a maximum of $1.2M in active challenge accounts. However, traders are only able to trade up to $600k in active funded accounts at any given time. To learn more about these limits, please reference this knowledge center article.
